Inspector Comments The cook was observed touching a bun with bare hands. Food handlers can be a major source of food contamination and cannot handle ready-to-eat foods with bare hands. The Person in Charge (PIC) had the cook voluntarily discard the bun in the trash can, wash hands, put on gloves and prepare a new hamburger bun. PIC agreed to remind and train all employees not to handle ready to eat foods with bare hands but to use gloves or tongs.
Inspector Comments Facility offers eggs any style and no reminder and/or disclosure available at the point of selection to the consumer informing them that the food contains raw or undercooked ingredients. PIC agreed to make a sign at the sales counter stating eggs are cooked to order with the advisory until new to-go menus can be printed. Consumer Advisory handout was provided.
