A complaint was filed in this action on August 16, 2005. It appears that on October 28, 2005, Chip Zolinski, CEP of Ptarmigan Steel, LLC filed an answer on behalf of defendant Ptarmigan Steel, LLC. "A corporation, either public or private, shall appear by an attorney in all cases unless an exception to the corporation's appearance by an attorney has been explicitly made by law." ALASKA STAT. § 22.20.040(a)(2) (2002).
It is unclear if Mr. Zolinski is an attorney or not. It further does not appear that based upon the information before the court that defendant would fall within the exception to this rule.
Within 15 days, Mr. Zolinski shall file a response addressing the courts concerns.
