There is no Certified Food Protection Manager on staff. It is critical to have at least one food manager certificate holder on staff to ensure a thorough understanding of food safety principles. Please visit https://dec.alaska.gov/eh/fss/food/food-establishment-requirements/cfpm-training/ to obtain a list of trainers throughout the State. The person in charge informed me that he is registered to take the course in October and will send me a copy of the certificate once it is obtained. |

The handwash sink was not supplied with hot water during the inspection. The person in charge informed that this was because there is an issue with the water heater. The handwash sink must be supplied with hot (100-120F) water to thoroughly wash hands. The person in charge agreed to keep the water heater turned on and the sink supplied with hot water. |
