Inspector Comments Eggs were observed being stored above ready to eat foods in the walk-in freezer. The eggs in the refrigerator were improperly stored above ready-to-eat foods. Salmonella enteritis may be inside perfectly normal-appearing eggs and can cause serious illness if the eggs crack or break and drip onto ready-to-eat foods. Staff moved eggs to a shelf below ready to eat foods. Management team will train employees and volunteers proper storage techniques.
Inspector Comments There was not a certified food protection manager (CFPM) on staff. Having the CFPM training is a valuable tool for preventing food borne illness and training employees. Please obtain card within 30 days, handout with local instructors provided. Manager agreed to take the class or have a staff member attain the certificate as soon as possible.
