Inspector Comments |
Two of the minifridges had foods with temperatures higher than 41F. One fridge had a temperature of 50.4F for milk and the second fridge had a temperature of 47.4F for pickled plums. The person in charge corrected this on site by turning down the temperatures in the fridges and moved all potentially hazardous items to another cold holding unit. They also stated that the minifridges are usually used for employees, but had foods in them today because of prep work. The person in charge agreed to not store potentially hazardous items in the two fridges until the temperature can maintain 41F or below. They agreed to send proof of a correct temperature to belanna.rhodehamel@alaska.gov once fixed. |

Inspector Comments |
The microwave was observed to have food debris on the top and sides of the interior. Improper cleaning and sanitizing of the microwave can lead to cross-contamination and the spread of harmful bacteria. The person in charge stated that they usually clean the microwave daily and corrected this on site by cleaning the microwave. |
