| Inspector Comments | Ice machine was observed to have what appeared to be mold- and yeast-like growth on the inside of the machine where ice is dispensed and stored. Food that comes into contact with surfaces that are not properly cleaned and sanitized are liable to contamination. The person in charge (PIC) discarded all of the ice in the machine and then turned the ice machine off to drain, clean, and sanitize the inside of it. The PIC will have food employees check the ice machine more frequently using a flashlight and will clean and sanitize the ice machine more frequently as needed to prevent any potential contamination that may lead to foodborne illnesses. |
